The historic Norwood Theatre is your neighborhood’s premier performing arts center. It touts all the charm of smaller 1920s-era venues, thanks to its Spanish Romanesque style architecture. Today, it’s a renovated, fully modern facility with state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems.

Norwood Theatre hosts a variety of musical acts. Catch the rock group One Night In Memphis on stage on October 8, 2022, at 7:30 p.m., or grab the kids and watch four-time Parents’ Choice award winner Vanessa Trien and the Jumping Monkeys. They perform here on October 16, 2022, at 11:00 a.m.

Between the auditorium and balcony, there’s room for 731 audience members. The stage is just the right size, and you can see the show from every seat, making every production feel like an intimate affair. The staff at Norwood Theatre also served beer, wine, sodas, water, and snacks during the show. You’ll find plenty of parking for your new Honda in the lot behind the theater.

Limey’s Pub

Limey’s Pub is here to entertain. Whether you’re winding down from a long day or it’s time to gather with friends, it’s one of the best bars in Norwood to hear live music. The staff reserves Fridays for live music thanks to its rotation of local DJs. Each week, these talented artists spin a variety of genres, like rock, country, hip-hop, and classic hits.

Check out its events page for a schedule of special acts. Past performances include an acoustic set of popular cover songs by Wishful Thinking. Limey’s Pub also hosts student concerts for Band Gig School Of Music. This program teaches adults and children how to play various instruments through classes, clinics, and live performances.

What sets Limey’s apart from other Norwood bars is its menu. You aren’t stuck with a limited selection of greasy burgers and fries; order a barbeque pork belly sandwich or a spicy black bean burger. There’s even a hearty dinner salad piled high with bourbon steak tips with cheese tortellini. Limeys also serves traditional British pub fare, such as Scotch eggs and stuff quahogs.
